Filling too runny!!!

Have you actually tried this recipe?

The filling says to add 1 cup of water....way too runny!! I just checked other poppy seed roll recipes and there is no water for the filling. Hmmm now I wish I had checked other recipes first. Disappointed 😒 Please double check before posting.

Did you use dry ground poppy seeds or premade filling?
I make this exact recipe for Christmas every year and it comes out great.
The photo is of a strudel made with this recipe.
