We just had this Servietten knoedel with Goulash for the first time, our German friends came and cooked for us. They couldn't tell exactly what was in it, the dumpling were pre made in a boiling bag. I knew it came out like our American beef stew when it was finished. It was very good. I kept thinking the dumpling were going to be more like potatoe pancakes, but this is more traditional bread and egg stuffing.
